BM TRADA and CertiWood Technical Centre have announced a major expansion of the
products that are eligible for CE Marking under the BM TRADA / CertiWood alliance. Products
that can — or will soon be able to — carry the CE Mark include: •Timber structures — glued laminated timber; BM TRADA is a leading multi-sector certification body accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) and a Notified Body and ETA (European Technical Approval) Issuing Body for products covered by the Construction Products Directive (CPD). CertiWood is a fully accredited structural testing laboratory ISO/IEC 17025 for materials testing and is accredited under ISO/IEC 17020 for mill inspections, proprietary products and systems. CertiWood was also the first North American Certification Organization to offer CE Marking for structural panel products, EN 13986, in 2003.
